Thanksgiving, hanging out, running an everything else!

Also meine letzte Woche war anders, aber trotzdem gut!
Am Freitag vor einer Woche ist meine Gastmutter für eine Woche nach Nebraska geflogen, um eine Freundin zu besuchen. Dafür sind aber meine beiden Gastschwestern gekommen und ich habe 3 Tage mit beiden und weitere 2 Tage mit nur einer verbracht.
Letztes Wochenende war dann ja auch Thanksgiving, also hatten wir bei meiner Gastoma Dinner zusammen mit dem Vater meiner Gastschwestern. Typisch Thanksgiving gab es dann Turkey, Stuffing, Stuffingballs, Kürbis, und so weiter. Am Montag hatte ich dann noch Schulfrei :)
Die Woche war dann eine ganz normale Schulwoche. Am Donnerstag hatte ein ein Cross-Country-Race. Es war kalt, matschig, nass, hügelig, dreckig! Es hatte die Tage davor viel geregnet also war alles matschig und glitschig und man musste echt aufpassen, dass man nicht hinfällt. Aber ich war trotzdem 5 Minuten schneller als beim letzten Race, was mir ganz gut gefällt! :)

So the last week was different, but it was good!
Last friday my hostmum went to for a week to nebraska to visit a friend. But my hostsisters came to stay with me, so i spent 3 days with both of them and two more just with one of them.
Last weekend was Thanksgiving so we had a big dinner at my host grandma's with the father of my 'sisters' and his girlfriend. For sure we had Turkey, Stuffing(balls), Squash and lots of other stuff. It was really good! On monday I had a day off. :)
The following schooldays were just normal. On thursday i had a cross-country-race. It was cold, muddy, slippery, wet, hilly and dirty! It rained a lot the days before, so you had do be careful that you don't fall! But i was 5 minutes faster than last time, what makes me happy! :)

Am Samstag war ich dann mit den deutschen Mädchen schoppen und am Sonntag habe ich mich mit einem kanadischen Mädchen getroffen und wir sind zur Waterfront gegangen und haben geredet, ja :) 

Das ist es eigentlich auch schon hauptsächlich, außer eine Sache habe ich noch für euch, ein Foto mit der Schuluniform, es ist nur eine Möglichkeit, man kann natürlich kombinieren wie man will, aber ja, so trage ich es realtiv oft! 

On Saturday I went shopping with the german gild and on Sunday i hang out with a canadian girl and we went on a long walk to the Waterfront. It was really nice! 

That's basically it, just one thing left: I have a picture of me wearing the school uniform. It's just one way you can way it, because you can combine what you want for sure! I wear it a lot this way:

Life..

Hey guys :)

I just thought I'd let you know what is going on in my life right now! - and that's gonna happen in english! :)

So, what do you want to know? - I put a new gadget on the right side of this page, so just email me if you have questions, comments, anything! 

In school i'm joining the cross country team now. It's fun, and the people are nice as well :) 
We practice 3 times a week and have a meeting (race) nearly once a week. It's hard especially at the beginning, but your getting fit and your getting better. 

That's a picture of me and a girl from japan, that is joining the team as well. :) 

What else could i tell you? Well at school, everything is fine so far, i understand most of the things in class, even biology. It was kind of difficult at the beginning for me, because i had to deal with a lot of new, complicated words. I got 19/28 marks on my first test and on the second one 9/10. I'm fine with that! :) 

In Social Science we were divided into little groups and we had to do like an experiment, or an observation. Just looking at human behavior in different ways. 

I did an experiment with two other girls and we wanted to look at different learning styles. So we went into 4 classes and gave to of them a story, that they should read themselves and to the other two classes we read a the story. After that everybody had to do a questionnaire on the story. 

So we collected data and than we also had to present our results in our class. We didn't get any feedback yet, but i think it was fine though. 

In gym we were talking a lot about weight training and how this is good for our life, our body. We had to do 2 assignments and now we have to develop our own template. 

These things are mostly homework and in class we play different games, but also do stretches, cardio, running, and things like circuit training. So it's good, even if we are just 5 girls! 

In art we had to do a still life. This is mine: 

Now we are doing a painting in fauvism-style. It's just about using very bright colors and so on. 

I already also made some friends. I have lunch with them. I think i told you about it already. It just a little bit difficult for me. 

In the host family, everything is perfect, really nothing to complain about.

Wie versprochen kommen jetzt Bilder vom echt guten Wochenende!

Am Freitag haben wir uns also auf dem 4,5 Stunden langen Weg nach Ottawa gemacht. Zwischendurch haben wir auch hier 2 Stops gemacht, um Fotos zu machen :)
Und dann war am Freitag die Hochzeit - that was a lot of fun!
Am Samstag sind wir dann zum Gift-Opening zur Familie des Brautpaars gefahren und waren bei Ikea haha. Exactly the same! My host mum got me a sweet panda - too cute! :)
On Sunday we went downtown and visited Ottawa! A really nice city with some nice places, great buildings, but also a lot of nature, i love it! We didn't have that much time, cause we had to head back home, but we had a great time in the capital city!

Am Sonntag waren wir bei Wasserfällen, die etwa 20 Minuten von hier entfernt sind. Und die sind wirklich beeindruckend!

Hi there :)

How are you doing?

Es gibt ein paar kleine Sachen zu erzählen, also fang ich einfach mal an :D

Also erstmal zu meinem Freundeskreis:
Ich hatte ja in den ersten Wochen immer eine Gruppe, mit der ich Lunch verbracht habe und sonst auch immer etwas gemacht habe. Ein paar Mädchen wurden dann aber irgendwie komisch, und ich war ein wenig verunsichert. Mehr sag ich dazu jetzt nicht. Naja, also habe ich versucht mich ein bisschen von der Gruppe zu entfernen und verbringe mittlerweile Lunch bei einem Mädchen mit mehreren netten Leuten. :)
By the way, ich merke mittlerweile auch, dass Kanadier jemanden mit dem man Lunch verbringt auch schon als Freund ansehen, ohne das man irgendwie mehr über die Person weiß oder so. Da muss man sich auch erstmal dran gewöhnen!

Am Mittwoch bin ich dann noch zur Senior Band gegangen, wo ich eigentlich Klavier spielen wollte. Als ich aber gesagt habe dass ich Klavierspiele sollte ich dann so etwas wie Xylofon spielen. Ich weiß nicht warum. Ich habe ihr das auch mehrmals gesagt, dass ich das nicht so gerne machen möchte. Aber es hat alles nicht gebracht. Ich denke ich werde also nicht nochmal hingehen.
Und außerdem habe ich eine tolle Gastmum, die ein Keyboard für mich besorgt hat, damit ich wenigstens ein bisschen Musik machen kann :)

Um irgendwas an der Schule noch zu machen, werde ich mal fragen ob ich noch in das Cross Country Team kann, mal sehen was daraus wird.
Und ab November wollte ich ja gerne Volleyball spielen!

In Biology habe ich am Freitag auch schon meinen ersten kleinen Test geschrieben. Das war ok, ist halt ein bisschen schwer mit den ganzen Fremdwörtern, aber das wird schon :)

Gestern war ich dann mit den deutschen Mädchen auf einem Schul-Dance. Das war ganz gut, außer das die Musik nicht so unsere war. Wir hatten trotzdem Spaß. Das Motto war Country, deswegen die Karo-Hemden :D
Wer sich nichts unter dem Dance vorstellen kann, es ist einfach wie eine Party, oder wie in der Disco, von der Schule organisiert :)

Nächste Woche Freitag geht es dann mit meiner Gastmutter in die Hauptstadt - nach Ottawa.

Am Freitag sind wir auf einer Hochzeit und am Samstag zeigt sie mir dann die Stadt, das wird bestimmt richtig gut :) 

Und es wird langsam Herbst hier, die Bäume färben sich richtig schön, da gibt es bestimmt gute Bilder für euch nächste Woche! :)

Hey guys, how are you doing?

Mir geht es gut. So langsam kehrt der Alltag ein und man gewöhnt sich an sein kanadischen Leben!
Zuhause wird alles entspannter, lockerer und ich fühle mich einfach 'pudelwohl' - wie man so schön sagt! Ich liebe meine Gastfamilie wirklich :)

In der Schule kommt auch langsam im Unterricht der Alltag rein, aber man muss sich halt erstmal zurecht finden - was Freunde betrifft.
Ich finde es schwer hier die Leute einzuschätzen und zu sagen das ist jemand der er selber ist, der nicht zu der 'wrong crowd' gehört und mit dem man gut zurechtkommen könnte. Das dauert seine Zeit und man braucht auch jede Menge Mut um Leute anzusprechen und sich mit ihnen zu unterhalten und das ganze auch noch auf einer anderen Sprache. Aber man merkt mit der Zeit dass man selber immer lockerer wird und mit mehr Leuten im Unterricht spricht. Also ich habe Hoffnung in die Zukunft :)

Mit dem Englisch klappt es auch immer besser, verstehen tue ich so gut wie alles. Es sei denn ich kenne die Vokabel nicht, aber das ist ja nicht das Problem. Und mit dem Sprechen wird es auch langsam besser! :)

Die letzten Wochen waren a lot of fun, manchmal lazy, manchmal busy aber trotzdem gut! :)
Ein paar Stichworte nur über das, was ich gemacht habe.
Hot-top evening, football-games, shopping, jazz-night, trip to pembroke, wendy's birthday party, ...

Und it's getting cold! - Heute morgen waren nur 0 Grad, ich habe jetzt schon Angst vor dem Winter hier, haha!
